Origen Dorado, as a business idea on the production, transformation, and exportation of coffee, was created more than 15 years ago. Roasting the green coffee beans only gives half of their flavors to the prepared coffee, and the other half is provided by their freshness. However, most of these coffee beans are stored for months, losing their natural flavor as the days pass by. Because of this, Origen Dorado handles everything: from harvesting the cherries (quicker than anyone else), to manual selection in our fields, threshing, and roasting in our factory in Bogotá (Colombia). We control all the steps in the process.

Medium roasted coffees preserves many of the unique flavors of the coffee’s origin, but it also begins to reach into the deep caramel sweetness of a longer roast. As a result, our coffee is balanced, well rounded, and could be slightly darker and sweeter.
